With the HP 17BII financial calculator, you can perform more than 250 business and statistical functions from wherever you happen to be. After 10 minutes of nonuse the calculator turns itself off, but your most recent information will still be there.

  • Superior to the Texas Instrument versions (mainly the BA 2 plus advanced professional super whatever). I really liked the menu system in this calculator. It displays which variables you need to account for. With the texas instruments calculators you do not get the option to see which variables you need so you are sort of left in the dark.
  • The calculator has an enormous amount of features and hundreds of built in formulas that you can select through its menu system. If you still cannot find a formula you can easily program one into the calculator as well (again you cannot do this with the Texas Instruments versions).

  • Takes two watch batteries. This is minor hinder compared to the benefits.
  • Screen is poor resolution. The only calculator I have seen with amazing resolution would the the Texas Instruments N-Spire CAS

This is the best Financial Calculator Series that HP makes. While not the stalwart industry standard that the 12C has become, the Silver 17ii+ is the high-end financial calculator in the Pioneer series- made during the late 1990’s.
